We started e-mailing and did so for about one month . We spoke on the phone in a couple of times, and finally met a couple of weeks later. One question we get a lot is "why am I not getting a lot of response to my profile?". Well, 9 times out of 10 it is because they have not updated their profile in several weeks or a couple of months. The longer you go without updating your profile the further down the list your profile goes and is less likely to be seen or viewed by other potential matches.

We recommend that you update your profile every two weeks to keep it in the top of the profile search results and too keep your information up to date and interesting.

Have you changed jobs? Have you moved? Has your email address changed? There are many minor and major changes that happen to you all the time. If something has changed in your life then you really should update your profile to reflect these changes.

Also, if you don't keep your profile updated it gives the impression that you are either currently dating someone or that you are not interested in having anyone contact you.

DATING SAFETY ADVICE
A majority of the time going on a date is a fun and safe activity. But, just like anything there can be times when a date does not go the way you had planned. That is why it is important for both men and women to follow these simple rules before going on a date:

1- Never give your date your address and never meet at your house on a first date.

2- Always meet at a public place on the first date. A restaurant, a movie theater, a museum are all good places.

3- Tell friends or relatives that you are going on a date, where you are going and the time you plan to return.

4- Tell your friends or relatives that you will call them at a specific time to check in. Don't forget to call, even if the date is going better then you had expected.

5- Don't let your date take you home. Again, even if the date is going better than expected.

6- Don't give your date to much personal information on the first date. If you are in sales, don't tell your date which company, just say "I am in sales with a major company".

This is the first date and each of you should respect the others privacy and personal information. You should discuss your likes, goals and ambitions etc. If your date pushes you for personal information then it is time to end the date.
