Beginning immediately, UtahSingles.com will prominently display the TRUSTe seal, or “trustmark,” on its Web site. The TRUSTe seal offers a direct link to UtahSingles.com’s privacy statement, which provides Web site visitors with details of the company’s privacy and security policies. By displaying the TRUSTe privacy seal, UtahSingles.com will assure its customers about how the company’s Web site handles personally identifiable information.

Specifically, TRUSTe’s licensees must fully disclose their information collection and use practices, allow consumers to opt-out of any secondary uses of their personal information, and ensure that appropriate security mechanisms are in place. TRUSTe ensures that its licensees adhere to the stated practices by providing regular monitoring, oversight, and consumer dispute resolution.
